D.H. Smith & Sons, LLC is looking to add a Class B CDL Driver to our growing team. This position is full-time and will require Saturday availability. Applicants must be proficient at driving 13-speed manual transmissions. Applicants must be willing to drive a one-ton and/or 6-wheeler if necessary. This position offer room to grow within the company.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations:

– Safely deliver landscape supplies to residential and commercial customers.

– Provide timely communication back to manager regarding any changes or issues experienced by the customer.

– Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed, and accidents or injuries are promptly reported to management.

– Performing daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks and advising management of any required repairs to the service manager.

– Adhering to all company safety policies, procedures, and directives, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

– Maintaining a clean and organized work environment and equipment as required.

– Customer Service: Greet customers and answer basic product questions.

– Maintaining the Smith & Sons Culture: cleanliness, positive attitude, efficiency, and courtesy to others.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

– Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License.

– Must have one year of prior Class B professional driving experience within the last four years, and a clean driving record.

– Strong communication and teamwork skills.

– Knowledge of landscape materials.

– Physical ability to lift heavy items (50-70 lbs.) and perform manual tasks.

– High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

– Ability to work independently.

– Ability to meet deadlines.

– Must have high attention to detail.

– Must be willing to wash and shine.
